Looking Ahead…

The Annual Board Member’s Meeting will be held in July or August. Your comments, suggestions, and concerns are welcome – email Dennie O’Leary ODennie@hotmail.com.

Annual Conference: Who is available to serve on the Planning Committee?  Our kick-off meeting wil be held in early August.  The conference task force consists of current presidents of NCCIBA, ASA, and NACVA (John Heidebrecht, Clay Shultz, and Rick Berning), along with Joe Kenyon and Bill Herber.  BV-22 is tentatively planned for Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the University of St. Thomas on the Minneapolis Campus.  Keep your eyes open for good topics and/or speakers.

Update on UST Library Resources: Several members have inquired about the available resources and guidelines for accessing publications and subscription services at UST.  Laura Hansen, the current director of the business valuation collection, recently developed an on-line guide to resources for the business valuation community: UST-Business Valuation.  The collection has expanded over the last ten years.  If you have questions about hours, access to on-line resources, or the permanent collection, feel free to call Laura at 651.962.4664.  Identify yourself as an affiliate of UST from the business valuation committee and indicate in which group you hold a current membership (ASA, NCCIBA, NACVA, etc.).  No formal ID card is required.  The librarian on duty will give you an overview of the layout, set you up at a computer terminal, and log on.  Only the librarian has log-in privilages for visiting users.  Need copies?  You may purchase a copy card at the front desk.  We would like to know how many of our members use the St. Thomas Libraries, what resources are accessed, and how members rate their experiences.  Email Dennie ODennie@hotmail.com or John John@BHExperts.com with your impressions.
