March Meeting

ASA & NCCIBA will hold a joint meeting on Monday, March 14, 2011.

When: Noon-1.30pm

Where: Grant Thornton

Clay Shultz and Chuck Miller of Shenehon Company will present the Private Cost of Capital Model as developed by Dr. John K. Paglia of Pepperdine University, and Rob Slee of MidasNationa. The model uses return data for the private capital markets as an alternative to the traditional methods which rely on data from the public capital markets.

The 21st Annual Business Valuation Conference was a success!

Our speakers devoted many hours to preparing and presenting this year’s topics which included: discount rates, current court rulings, economic trends, bank valuations, and the impact of recent changes on healthcare valuation.

60 people attended the conference at the University of St. Thomas.  Attendees included appraisers, attorneys, CPAs and business brokers. One of our speakers, undaunted by a multi-state winter storm, gave his presentation via webcam.

Look for your CE certificates in the next few weeks.
