Time:                  Noon – 1:30 PM

Agenda:             Joe Kenyon and Ginger Knutsen from Schechter Dokken Kanter (SDK) will be presenting on what to do when performing a business valuation and there are allegations or suspicions of financial improprieties; including when to bring in forensic accountants, how these engagements are structured, the types of analyses that are done, significant issues with respect to potential tax fraud, and case studies.

Notes from the February 21st Meeting and Beyond:  

  • Renee Marino gave a presentation on the Valuation of Intangibles, discussing concepts from the book, The Physics of Brand, which she co-authored, and focusing on examples from actual business with whom she has worked.  Thank you, Renee, for your expertise!
  • Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 11th!  The MABVP and ASA will be jointly hosting a social event at TopGolf in Fridley.  The event is tentatively set to take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and will include games and refreshments.  More details to come!
  • The May Chapter Meeting and June Social Event will comprise the final two events of the 2018-2019 year for the MABVP membership.  We will look forward to seeing each of you in September for our annual business meeting following August’s board meeting.  The date for the September meeting is tentatively set for Thursday, September 19th from 12:00 to 1:30 pm (pending board approval).
