Annual Valuation Contest – Different Room Location – Prizes for Best Guess

Place: 100 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN
Washington Square Room on the 4th floor

Time: Noon – 1:00 PM

Agenda: Jeffrey Wright of Corporate Finance Associates will present details from two business sales and meeting participants will submit their guess as to the sale price of each business. Cash prizes will be awarded to the attendees who submit the guess closest to the actual sale price.

Notes from the November 17 MABVP monthly meeting:

• A date for the 2017 Business Valuation Conference was chosen and the event will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at the University of St. Thomas Minneapolis campus.
• Member recruitment programs – First year membership dues for new MABVP members are being waived to attract new members. Additionally, current ASA members who join MABVP will have membership dues waived for two years.
• Meeting attendance – In an effort to increase attendance and share professional experience at monthly MABVP meetings, members of the local ASA chapter are being invited to MABVP monthly meetings. It is nice to see several ASA members at recent MABVP meetings.
• Presentation – Jennifer Schiefert and Cassandra Elgersma of Schechter Dokken Kanter provided a detailed presentation on sessions from the November 2016 AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Contest. Thank you both for educating attendees on conference highlights!
